Your latest single you have released:

Yes, we recently released a new single “Midnight” it is the next step for Illusions of Grandeur, the 1st single from the forthcoming album “The Siren Rises” which the band hopes to have in release by early 2024. “Midnight” again takes the band musically into unfamiliar territory.

Your favourite lyric in this song: 

That would be from the song Midnight “Human Being, lying and cheating!” great example of the human condition today

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

Sacrifice, the opening of our new album “The Siren Rises PT1 The Raven Witch”it was a real surprising track taking IOG in a different direction.

Your favourite song to play live:

That would for sure be  “As it All Burn” from our forth coming album “The Siren Rises PT1 The Raven Witch”, it is just a driving song and make the crowd move! 

The song that was the longest to write and why?

I would have to say “Upon my Life” because of the mix of metal and rock also the tempo really shows off the bands playing. IOG’s “Upon My Life” video was shot live at the tail end of The Rise of The Demons tour 2022 at The Vanguard in Hampton, VA. Upon My Life captures a section of the band’s live show. Additionally, the “Take Me Alive” video was shot at the same show. I would say the most requested song would be “Silent Suicide” from our debut album “The Songs of The Siren”, Crowds love to sing along with that one.

Dream collaboration:

Well, that would for sure be Avatar, Korn, and In This Moment. Having seen these bands a few times I knew they would put on an amazing show!

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Unlike any feeling I have had before, the feeling of being alive and playing live, being just in that moment that will only exist for us and our fans for that one show

The hardest track to play live:

Prophet from “The Siren” Album, it’s fast as hell and drives the band! 175BPM and it just takes off!

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

Heater and small air conditioner, touring all over the world and different times of the year (Winter/Summer) these ALWAYS come in handy!

Korn’s “Black is the Soul” just a killer riff and lyrics. Just a solid song all around.

What we can look forward to from your band this year: 

2024 will see the release of Illusions of Grandeur’s “The Siren Rises pt1: Raven Witch” which will continue The Siren Saga from the previous two albums, taking The Siren further into battle with hades.

IOG are currently while tour producing their 3rd album the next story in The Siren Saga “The Siren Rises” which the band looks to have out in 2024.
