Your Love Is My Drug – Ke$ha

Today we are heading back to the 2010’s to look at a single that was from a musician who was very popular at the time. You may of even been a fan but may not remember it so lets have a look back and remember it.

On the 20th April 2010, pop musician Ke$ha released the single Your Love Is My Drug. The song was written by Kesha Sebert, Pebe Sebert and Joshua Coleman and released under the record label of RCA. The single was the third track to be released off her debut album Animal.

Apparently, according to interviews, the song was written in ten minutes on a plane journey. The song has a strong mix of auto-tune and electronica.

The single did really well in the charts and went into the top 10 in many countries including Australia (3), Belgium (2), Canada (6), Hungary (7), Poland (3), Slovakia (9) and the US Billboard Hot 100 (4). In the United Kingdom it did fairly well and charted at number 13 and went certified silver in the UK.

This was a single that I always liked and found it a very catchy track. I found Ke$ha’s music very different ad unique to other music at the time so I really enjoyed it.
