The Travel Book – Travel Through A Photo – Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland, United Kingdom

There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

I have been very lucky to of travelled to many areas of the United Kingdom and when I lived in the North East for the year – I travelled a lot. It never felt I did enough even though I went somewhere new every weekend. One of the places I visited was Berwick-Upon-Tweed and I loved it so much and I would say it was one of my favourite places I went to. Today, we are looking at one of the places that I visited that day.

I walked a lot when I went to Berwick, it’s is so beautiful. I just wanted to see more and more! This photograph was taken from one of the beaches I walked across. I adored this area so much, I loved the rocks by this wonderful sand. In the edges (you may not see it a lot here) there was all this long grass as well. It was just wonderful.

I love this photo because you see all these elements and then in the distance there is a lighthouse. I adore the movement of the water in the photo and the way that the clouds are a contrast and it just makes it wonderful and gives the image a great depth perception.

I love Berwick-Upon-Tweed and this photograph highlights just a hint of why I love this place.
