Every day this month we are taking a look at a different rom com everyday to celebrate that it is a leap year in 2024 and valentines day also being in the same month.

Day 7 – Just Like Heaven

There was a time when there was a lot of romantic comedies around and I would watch a lot of them. I remember that I had this one on DVD and it was at a time where Mark Ruffalo popped up in a handful of these types of films. I have always liked Reese Witherspoon as well so I decided to watch this film.

A lonely landscape architect falls for the spirit of the beautiful woman who used to live in his new apartment.

This is a film that is an enjoyable rom com with a unique storyline – the fact that it is about talking to someone who is a spirit creates a lot of the comedy and both actors make it enjoyable as they are both good at comedic timing whilst also giving emotion.

I haven’t seen this film that much as it is one that you have to be in the mood for. The plot is at times unpredictable and also romantic which makes it a great film for this category but it also means that you can’t just switch it on when you are feeling down you have to be in a very specific mood.
