Tell us About:
Your latest single you have released:
“Drown” is a song about pushing on and not losing hope even in the darkest of times.
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
“Imperium” was released in 2013, but the band had different members back then. It’s still an important release to us though, as we still have fans from that time today that have stuck with us.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
We are proud of all of our songs, but we all really love “Samsara”, our 2018 single.
Your favourite song to play live:
We all love playing our song “Usurper” live, the breakdowns are fun!
The song that was the longest to write and why?
“Ignorance” off our 2021 EP Cloudburst took a very long time to write because we kept making vocal part changes we weren’t quite happy with. It turned out great though!
Your most emotional track:
“Umbra” off our 2017 full length Solstice is very emotional and deals with very personal topics on mental health and substance abuse.
The best lyric you have ever written:
“Common sense ain’t so common place anymore these days”
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
A good mix of excitement and nervousness, but the good kind. There’s not many things that compare.
The hardest track to play live:
“Pale Horse” is pretty tricky – lots of fast guitar tapping!
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Food, water, beer and a good quality pillow. Also, ear plugs!!
Describe your fans in three words:
Loyal, energetic, and fun (YEAHHHHHH)
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
“The Northern” by Alexisonfire
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
The Northern will continue to drop new music and hopefully get on some sick tours so we can get back on the road!
