Day 2 – The Other Woman

I find that these days I rely on streaming platforms to watch films – I don’t really go to the cinema very often and only buy DVDs in extreme cases (as in films or television shows I want a copy for life).

I remember seeing the trailer for The Other Woman in 2013/2014 and thought it looked like a fun and would be an enjoyable watch but due to not making any effort to watch it until it went onto a streaming platform, it was a while until I saw it.

Here is the synposis:

After discovering that her boyfriend is married, Carly meets the wife he’s been betraying; when yet another affair is discovered, all three women team up to plot revenge on the three-timing S.O.B.

If Cameron Diaz is in a film you can guarantee most of the time it will be light hearted and witty. I instantly enjoyed this film and also like a lot of Diaz’s comedy films as they also have a sense of female empowerment in a lot of them.

It is a fun rom com with a twist that makes it a different sort of film which also makes it a lot of fun. It is one of those films that is really easy to watch and also has some laugh out loud moments.

I haven’t seen this film in a very long time but I always enjoyed it when I did watch it and it is exactly the sort of film that represents this genre – escapism at it’s greatest.
