The one thing I love about music is that everyone has their own story to tell – the musician, the lyrics, the way the fans decipher them and also the way a song can also create a memory or a meaning to someone. For this Christmas, I thought it would be fun to pause Listed for the month and celebrate Christmas songs and memories attached to them.

Everyone has weird traditions when it comes to Christmas and music. You can hear a song and then it can become part of your regular playlist for everytime the season comes around. Well, Today we are looking at one of those tracks that have memories attached to it for me.

In the early noughties I was a fan of S Club 7. I had just purchased Never Had A Dream Come True on CD and it came with a B Side that was called Perfect Christmas.

The first time I heard the song I really enjoyed it. I can remember vividly that I was sitting on my bedroom floor with headphones on and listening to the track.

It is a very festive sounding song and it has a very catchy Christmas Chorus that when you hear it you want to sing along.

S Club 7 were around a lot in the early noughties and they even appeared in a television show at Christmas where a family live in a department store and the band do a cameo.

The band were everywhere back then and when I hear this song I remember that time and also feel happy at the thought of the joy this song can bring.
