Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
I wrote a song that could examine the ‘Illusions’ of society and this masterpiece is a labour of creativity, with an intricately weaving story, offering a unique perspective on how certain belief systems impact the way individuals are tied within the matrix of this world, and how escaping this chaos can be achieved through one’s inner knowing to follow their own journey. Illusionism flaunts entrancing melodies and was created using the bass/acoustic guitar, keyboard, drums and backing vocals.
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
My first single was ‘Dream Of Your Soul’ and I like to write music that has a dreamy feel to it that can really evoke the emotions that you can feel in certain moments of life. It was a song where you start to experience those Sunday evening feels, and when not only thinking about those Monday blues and following week going forward. Although, Sunday evenings can also be a time of solitude when you start thinking alone about where you’re at in this very life at this very present moment with some lovely memories that you’ve also taken along with you to get up to this moment. It also makes you feel how you used to know certain people in life, and how we now live different lives in time.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
My favourite song that I’ve created from my EP has to be ‘Friday Evening’, as it’s a song that get you into the feels. It’s a song that I was thinking to write when you get those feelings of going into the city, Friday evening, and you’re going out to meet somebody, and you also wanna listen to a song whilst getting there, and yeah, that’s the song! It’s nice to have a vision when writing a song to evoke emotions.
Your favourite song to play live:
My favourite song to sing live has to be ‘Dream Of Your Soul’. I think the soul and meaning within the song is something that can get the attention of the audience.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
I think my single ‘Loose Leaf’ took a while to write as it was a song that made me really think of life and where I belonged. It was a song where I could tell a story of changing my destiny to the more aligned path for my soul, which is not easy to do, and hence finding the words to tell that story was even more difficult.
Your most emotional track:
My most emotional track has to be ‘Can’t Take This Anymore’ it is a song that talks about a very important thing amongst our civilization today and that’s ‘Mental Health’ and the struggles that individuals have to go through with it. I needed to write a song that could convey faith to people who have been through it to say there’s always a way through those difficult times and by talking to people you trust can help ease those challenging times. Please listen to this song if you get a moment.
The best lyric you have ever written:
For me it has to be from my song ‘See Through The Illusion’ and the lyrics would be ‘See through the illusion, it’s just an illusion, you see the illusion, a pure misconception. I am spiritual person and I think writing this song with this style of lyric expressed my spirituality more and my inquisitive nature about the very essence of existence of life.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
I haven’t done many shows yet, as I was at the moment focused on writing my own songs and more studio time. Although, I have been on the stage a few times, and there’s feelings of excitement because of adrenaline of singing live at any events.
The hardest track to play live:
The most difficult track to sing live would probably be ‘Get What I Want’ which is my UK Garage Track probably because of the fast tempo of that style of song.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
I haven’t started thinking about going on tour at the moment!
Describe your fans in three words:
Fantastic, Amazing and Supportive.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
I don’t think I would want any lyrics written by another artist to be my song, as the lyrics of those songs have been written by that specific artist and so is also original to that particular artist and so I like to be original and wouldn’t have perhaps connected to those lyrics. So I don’t actually wish I had written any song written by another artist as I like to be original as an singer songwriter artist myself.
What we can look forward to from you for the rest of the year and 2024:
I am an independent artist and I will be releasing a few singles this year and also next year as well, so keep updated! I also will be doing my best to release some more music at the end of this year and perhaps ever start doing more shows next year.
