Hello tell us a little bit about yourself!

I’m David Pustansky and I run everything related to Extreme Improv XStreamed. We’ve been going since 2010, and I have produced hundreds of shows with Extreme Improv on stage, online every week and in podcast form too. I’ve also written three improv related books.

What is the show that you are bringing to the stage in this Festive season?

Extreme Improv Comedy Show will launch our new monthly night of improv at the Camden Comedy Club starting on Thursday December 14th!

Tell us all about the improv that your show will involve?

Our new monthly night of improv will feature one to three guest acts each month, our flagship Extreme Improv Xstreamed show and end with an improv jam! The performers who take part in the Extreme Improv Xstreamed show will be playing a fun improv competition to become the Extreme Improv Champion of the month and will win a medal to reflect this.

Will there be a bit of festivity in your show?

For our December show there absolutely will be festivity as we’ll be creating Christmas movies and doing scenes inspired by the festive season.

What are your favourite things about the festive season and why?

I love that it brings people together and that this fosters a sense of collaboration and looking out for one another. This very much reflects the spirit of improv.

This time of year the venues tend to be a bit busier as well – do you find that the audience changes at all?

Definitely. You’ll find you get some people who want something fun and festive to stay out the cold and relax in the evening. It’s a good opportunity to have new audience members see the show who may not come during the summer months.

Favourite festive suggestion?

We once did a retelling of Die Hard as a pantomime which was great. It truly solidified that Die Hard is in fact a Christmas movie.

What advice would you give for people performing around the festive season?

Have fun, and enjoy that your performing will bring a little escapism and warmth to the audience when it’s getting colder and dark outside.

What is the best thing about a night at your show for the audience?

The level of audience interaction in Extreme Improv shows is very high. We really make it a two way show. I’m a big believer in giving the people what they want and love getting them as involved in the show as possible.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
