The Travel Book – Travel Through A Photo – Tortola, British Virgin Islands

There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

I still can’t believe that I have been to a handful of islands in the Caribbean. It was a long time ago but every time I remember, it makes me happy. Today we are heading to Tortola to look at a photograph I absolutely love.

When we visited Tortola we only had a day, so it meant we booked onto an excursion. So that means it was a lot of travelling around in am open mini bus.

The one thing that I did was take my professional camera with me so that I could capture lots of photographs and memories. A lot of my favourite photos from Tortola that was taken in a moving vehicle including the one that you are looking at today.

The roads were really bendy and I kept taking lots of photos as the news were amazing. I love this photograph because even though the bus was moving, I was able to take a photograph with trees dangling at an angle.

I love the depth of this photograph and really enjoy how many colours of the sea there is at it looks so magical. The hills in the distance are also breathtaking as well.

Every time I see this photograph it makes me smile. The colours are striking and it just blows me away.
