Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
HONEY NUT M&M’s
If there is ne thing that we have not spoken about recently on this website then it is the world of the M&M chocolate. There are so many different flavours, especially in America that it would be foolish not to look at more of them. So today we are going to look at a packet that were a limited edition and around for a period in 2016.
One thing that M&Ms like to do is hold competitions where they release a number of flavours and then there is a public vote where they chose the best new flavour. In 2016, one of the competitors was none other then Honey Nut. This was a new variety of the peanut M&M and was competing in the public vote against Chilli Nut and Coffee Nut. The colour of the candy shell coating was dark brown, light and mustard yellow. You could only purchase the flavour if you bought the other two as well.
There were mixed reviews about this product online – some praising the flavour as they go well together and others criticising it saying there is not enough Honey flavour.
