Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Crazy Stupid Love

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Crazy Stupid Love – Cheryl Cole

Today we are looking at a single that was released by Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole. I only came across it for the first time in years the other day when it popped up on a Throwback Thursday playlist.

Crazy Stupid Love was released on the 30th June 2014, it was the lead single from the fourth studio album that was called Only Human which was also released in the same year. The single was released under the record label Polydor and featured the hip hop artist Tinie Tempeh.

The single did reasonably well and went to number 1 in the Euro Digital song Sales, Ireland, Scotland and the UK Singles chart. In the United Kingdom the song also gained Gold certification and sold over 400,000 copies.

As soon as I heard this track again, I remembered it instantly. It always sort of reminded me of Jennifer Lopez song Get It Right due to the saxophone. I felt like a big change from her past music as it feels a lot less ‘poppy.’
