Hello! Tell us about yourself?
Hello! I’m Greta Titelman and I am a comedian, writer and actress. I currently live in Los Angeles, California but am a born and raised east coaster. I grew up in Washington DC and lived in New York City for nearly a decade before moving to the now not so sunny LA.
How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?
Well I am exquisite and lying is a recurring theme in my show. Whether it’s the lies we tell ourselves and others, we do what we think in needed to get through whatever life is throwing at us at that the moment. And of course the lies we tell are exquisite too.
Tell us all about your show!
It’s like having an intimate cocktail with your dear friend who dumps their juiciest stories to you, bouncing between different pivotal moments of their life and by the time your drink (the show) is done, we will all know ourselves a little (a lot) more intimately than before.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
It’s my first time to the festival so I am really looking forward to taking it all in! I am excited to discover new comics, performers and playwrights and of course I am dying to see my dearest friends Patti Harrison, Ruby McCollister, Larry Owens, Catherine Cohen etc… perform!
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
I have not! But from what I hear its important to never sleep, drink all day, and show up late to your show
Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?
I’m more of a sonnet girl myself!
What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?
All of the US comics I listed above continuously blow me away. Also I stare at myself in the mirror when I do my show and I can say first hand it is incredible, unique and different.
Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?
My mom but sadly she is dead!
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
@gertiebird
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
Because it’s crazy, sexy, cool.
