Hello! Tell us about yourself?
Hi, I’m Sarah, I’m one half of ‘Little Big Stack’ a new, female lead, theatre company, bringing our new dark comedy musical ‘Potty The Plant’ to the Edinburgh Fringe this year.
How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?
Originally the star and titular character was named ‘Planty The Plant’, but that was dumb so it changed to ‘Potty The Plant’.
Tell us all about your show!
It’s a new dark comedy musical, full of ridiculously catchy tunes, heartwarmingly idiotic characters and twisted humour.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
On Your Bike, Jingle Street, After This Plane Has Landed, Little Women (Bare Productions), Hello Kitty Must Die.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
We’ve never performed at the fringe before but the best advice I’ve had is to have clear goals, keep an open mind and always have a raincoat.
Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?
What do you call a hen looking at a lettuce? Chicken Sees a Salad! – I have never felt funnier that when delivering this particular line.
What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?
An adult Pantomime called ‘Goldicocks and His Three Bears’ – I haven’t laughed like that in a long time!
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
Not sure yet, lots of flyering, networking and generally drinking it all in (The atmosphere and The Ironbru)
What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?
Seeing seriously funny musicals of course.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
There’s no where in the world quite like it. It’s always been a dream of mine and it’s an absolute privilege to be invited in so warmly.
The most challenging thing about performing at the fringe?
Getting everything done in time and taking time to step back and really appreciate how cool it is to be performing at the Fringe.
What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?
Enthusiastic energy, A raincoat and enough clean underwear.
What’s the secret to successful flyering?
A winning smile, an eye catching outfit and a complete inability to take no for an answer.
Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?
Jack Black, A load of our music is quite Tenacious D inspired and we all just think he’s brilliant.
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

Tap-dancing Pot Plant
