The shop Paperchase, is sadly coming to an end but in the weeks to the run up, I have been visiting to find out what books I can use to create articles from and luckily yet again, I was welcomed with a brand new one called A Pocketful of Self Discovery!

So for 100 weeks we are going to explore the prompts and see what happens! Enjoy!

Week 9 – Things That Scare…

Certain Games

Ok lets start slowly, there are certain computer games that I like but when I first played them, there were sections of them that can make me jump as they are so well constructed and you do not know where they are going to lead. When I was a kid, I was terrified of Tomb Raider 2 and I had to watch mum play it and then hide behind a pillow as some of it used to freak me out when the bad guys used to jump out at me. That is why I do not play certain games because I am a wimp when it comes to things jumping out at me.

Rollercoasters

I will never forget the first rollercoaster I went on, I was a kid, around nine and there it was, really tall, intimidating and it was at a place called Pleasurewood Hills. I remember I was so scared before I went on it but the feeling of adrenaline afterwards was like nothing I had ever felt before. I love rollercoasters but that anxiety of nerves has never gone away and whilst I am always initially scared, I love the thrill of the ride.

Adventure courses

Ever since I was a kid, I have always enjoyed adventure courses that initially make you scared. For example, when I was a kid on holiday in Devon, there was a 90 degree slide and I was determined to go down it even if I was so scared. I was determined to go down it and so I pushed myself. I remember how crazy that feeling was and how amazing I felt afterwards.
