Today we are going to talk about a place that I visited for a couple of hours only last month and I really loved it as it was such a pretty little village in Scotland that I felt that I had to write about it. It is a place that I enjoyed and intend to return at some point to explore a lot more of the location.
Comrie is a village located in Perthshire, it is about an hours drive from Glasgow and there is busses from Perth that allow you to travel across to there as well. It is a village that is in the southern area of the Highlands and is known for being a historic conservation village based along the river Earn. Apparently, due to it’s location it is a place that has more earth tremors then anywhere else in the United Kingdom because it is positioned on the Highland Boundary Fault.
So why should you visit the village of Comrie? Well it is a location that is surrounded by lots of things that you can do if you are interested in walking and the outdoors. The area is rich with beautiful scenery and there are many walks that you can partake in around the area.
I was only in the village for a couple of hours but I really liked it, i found it incredibly pretty and loved the views of the water I was able to see as there was so many areas that were quaint and very photogenic. It was one of those places that I know has lots of places to go walking and I am sure there will be lots of hidden treasures on offer.
