The film used 100 real Google employees as extras.
Google allowed the film to shoot for 5 days at the Googleplex Headquarters, but most of film was shot at the Georgia Institute of Technology at Atlanta, where the film crew made the set look as accurate as the real one.
Though uncredited, this is Will Ferrell’s first role in a Twentieth Century Fox film.
In a scene, Vince Vaughn claims that he’s the same height as Will Ferrell. In real life, Vaugn is an inch taller than Ferrell.
The three girls in the library scene are director Shawn Levy’s daughters.
