Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Our latest single is called Rise & Fall. It is on our upcoming EP “Take Me Away”. We have also released a video clip for this same song on Youtube. It is about the struggles we face in life & not letting anyone or anything get to you & bring you down. It is a real stand up & fight ballad.
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
Our first single was called Checking In. It was the first track off our full length album “Everyday Warrior”. We also made a film clip for this song & released it at the same time. It was so good when we finally released this song because we knew it was a great song & the film clip was so much fun to make as well. It was great to see it out there & how people responded to it. We got a really good response & that is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
My Favourite song would have to be Brainwashed also of the Everyday Warrior album. It is so much fun to play. Fast paced with quite a few different parts to it & some great fills & leads mixed with vocal harmonies. It has it all. Such a good song. Its hard to pick a favourite but this one deserves it in my eyes.
Your favourite song to play live:
Broken Bones. It always seems to be a crowd favourite & we typically end the set on this song. You can see people getting excited about it & singing along. It is the perfect formula for a great live song.
Your most emotional track:
I would have to say No Innocence. It is about a messy break up & they both end up going their separate ways. Its hard to pick an emotional song when we try to keep our music quite upbeat & positive but if we had to pick one this would be it.
The best lyric you have ever written:
We were sinking tins with fresh faced grins. From Checking in. love that line.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Excited. I am always pumped before we play. I just want to get out there, get the guitar in your hands & do our thing. We have got great energy when we play live & the crowd normally feeds off that. We all work well together on stage as we have all played countless shows in our time.
The hardest track to play live:
This answer would be different for every member of the band I would say. I am going to say Obsession. Not that its overly hard but its fast & it is one song we always seem to be able to fuck up somewhere along the way.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Drugs & alcohol. Mandatory.
Describe your fans in three words:
Passionate, dedicated, fun.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Any song by A Wilhem Scream. They’re all good.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Our Take Me Away EP comes out in March on all platforms. We are aiming to get back into the studio to record our next single with an aim to release mid year. A few international supports coming up including 1 with A Wilhelm Scream next week. Hopefully a tour down the east coast of Australia to Sydney & Melbourne. That should keep us busy enough for a while.
