Tell us about:
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
Something More
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
No album – favourite track is usually always my latest release but i have to say HOLDING ON
Your favourite song to play live:
DYNAMITE – always feel a buzz off the band when playing this song, usually towards the end of the set too so the crowd is always dead up for it.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
The song that took me to the longest to write was Universe, I had this song on the go for ages but could never seem to finish it. Just kept getting writers block until one day i was actually writing a different song and felt that the melody and lyrics would work much better with Universe.
Your most emotional track:
Grow- bit of a love song that was written about people growing apart but still being in love with someone
The best lyric you have ever written:
“Are you scared of forever, but what about Never?” – Dynamite
Best lyrics in Gravity – “ Gravities hard to fight when you feel like flying”
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Slight nerves but mainly excitement – as soon as I see the crowd I just can’t help but LOVE it. I always feel after i’ve the first song the nerves go and I can just enjoy it too.
The hardest track to play live:
Late Night Dance – For some reason i always seem to get lost in this song. It’s really upbeat and i think i just get lost in the moment dancing round on stage and singing to the audience. So i would say its the hardest cos i have to concentrate the most in it.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Other than the essential instruments and clothes etc my one thing i always take is Apple Cider Vinegar a lemon and some honey. I swear by this if im ever feeling a little croaky or my throat a bit sore. It get rid of all the germs and leaves your vocal chords feeling amazing. Would highly recommend it for any singers. It sorts me right out and you never know when you might need it. Tours can be exhausting and very tiring on the vocals.
Describe your fans in three words:
Chilled pop lovers
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
I wish i had written any Fleetwood Mac song to be honest (massive Fan) Other than that i am loving Flowers by Miley Cyrus – she is a lyrical genius and very talented song writer!
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
2023 is looking rather exciting so far, we have lots of new music planned and ready to release this year, festivals and gigs over the summer including The Great Escape, producing music videos and of course lots of writing sessions.
