Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Sunchyme

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Sunchyme – Dario G

At the end of the nineties, there was a great influx of dance tracks and today we take a look at one of them that was actually the groups debut single.

Sunchyme was released by Dario G on the 15th September 1997, it was released under the record label Eternal and Kinetic and it was produced by Peter Oxendale. The song came from the album Sunmachine which was released a year later in 1998. Some of the elements of the track may sound familiar as it samples the song Life In A Nothern Town by Dream Academy.

As soon as I re-heard this track, I remembered that this song was everywhere as it was really popular. The chart results also reflect this as the song went into the top 3 in many countries including Canada (3), Denmark (2), Germany (3), Hungary (1), Switzerland (2) and the UK.
