JOLT COLA
Today we take a step back in time and take a look at a drink that was rebranded in 2006 to be called Joly Energy. We are going to solely focus on the beginning adventure of this product and how it became the drink that people know and speak about in ‘legends.’
Jolt Cola was a fizzy drink that was created in 1985 by The Joly Company Inc. The drink had caffeine and was a sort of energy drink aimed at students and young professionals. It was a drink that became popular due to the fact it had twice the amount of caffeine that normal Cola actually had. In 1987, a low calorie version was introduced as well.
By reading articles online, it is apparent that Jolt Cola tastes sort of like bitter version of normal cola. According to another set of articles online, they changed their name in 2006 to Jolt Energy, it also apparently went bankrupt in in the early noughties as well.
