This month we are taking a look at a completely different angle at the subject of food in the USA. Food isn’t something you can just eat, it is also something you can now wear, use or even have it as a scent. One of the most crazy things I think I have seen myself was when I was in Chicago airport, and there was Bacon flavored toothpaste. Since that day in 2011 I’ve been fascinated with what else is out there. I thought it would be fun to spend this December taking another look at clothing and accessories that are inspired by food brands and snack.

OREO’S DOUBLE STUF SWEATER

We are kicking things off with something that has been inspired by none other then an American favourite, Oreos,

In 2019, it was announced that Oreos were releasing a line of clothing for the holidays and Christmas season. There were lots of types of outfits available including Christmas sweaters, onesies and even something called the Double Stuf.

The Double Stuf Oreo Christmas sweater is a jumper that can be worn by two people at the same time. The aim of the jumper was so that you can ‘snuggle up on the sofa and watch television and films together.’

All of the clothing line are designed with an element of blue and have different shaped Oreos fluttered around though the design with a hint of snow.

Oreo partnered with clothing company Shinesty to make it a reality and the items could be purchased for anything between $50-$105.
