Forgotten Songs – This Week – Just For You

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.


M People– Just For You

Today we are going to look at a song that was released in the late nineties, I heard this for the first time the other week and I was amazed I had not listened to it before because they were huge household names when I was growing up.

Just For You was released by M People on the 22nd September 1997, it was written by Mike Pickering, Paul Heard and Heather Small and was released on the record label Deconstruction.  

The track was their fifteenth single and it was first performed live on Chris Evans TFI Friday. The track was off of the bands fourth album that was called Fresco, this was also released in 1997 as well. 

Just For You did well in the charts and went to number 8 in the UK Singles chart, It also did ok in different countries as well 9nd went to number 10 in Belgium, number 11 in Ireland and number 9 in Spain.
