Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Rose & Gold
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
Antidote was our first real single we released as this band. Full of energy and excitement. Not only is this felt in the track but also our live shows.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
Our song reach that sun (that only people will know if they’ve seen a show) is such a favourite of ours but we just can’t release it as a single yet and we know how perfect it’ll be on our album.
Your favourite song to play live:
Red & Gold has taken the lead. The energy it creates for the crowd, is something we hadn’t felt up until now.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
Naked and Blind was a little more difficult than our others, we tried out new things and tried to test ourselves with a new structure and different individual parts. It was a challenge to begin with but one we were willing to try. We were very happy with the outcome in the end.
Your most emotional track:
We have a song called ‘Covered Faces’ which is about our experiences through Covid and our mental health throughout that time. It’s hard to sing about but something we felt couldn’t be ignored because it was such a huge part of people lives.
The best lyric you have ever written:
“NICE HAIR” – unbelievable! Honestly don’t know where that one came from, think it was a dream. I awoke and had to grab a piece of paper and pen before it was gone forever.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
It’s a feeling I can’t describe without getting all cheesy on you. All that matters is, it’s a feeling of belonging, a feeling we can’t get anywhere else and the reason we love doing what we do and the reason we’ll never stop doing it.
The hardest track to play live:
Probably bohemian rhapsody. So we just don’t play it.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
A lot of drugs! Mainly Gaviscon and Rennies. Always getting bloody heart burn after eating too much bread. Rock and Roll baby!
Describe your fans in three words:
Best parents ever!
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Goodbye my lover – wish I could tap into my emotions with way Blunt does.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
We’ll be forcing Red & Gold down your throats probs a whole lot more until the new year hits and then we’ll be bringing you plenty more fresh tunes.
