Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
“Miss Somebody”
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
When I released Slow Burn I started getting messages about the song and how it was impacting people. I realized how much music can change other people’s lives and I wanted to do more of that.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
“Resistant” was my favourite song because it’s probably the most creative I’ve gotten with sound and space.
Your favourite song to play live:
“Feel It Again” purely for the energy
The song that was the longest to write and why?
“I Should Lose You” took the longest to write because we went through multiple versions of the chorus (I probably have 10 different versions of the song)
Your most emotional track:
“Where Did The Time Go”
The best lyric you have ever written:
“I’ve been feeling so nervous / I hold my tongue between my teeth / But it’s all coming to the surface” – Resistant
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Whenever I get on stage I have this feeling in my chest like my heart is gonna burst open. It’s where I can feel present and connected to others. It’s where I can be most myself.
The hardest track to play live:
“Now We Know” because I have the ability to get completely lost in the song when the timing is everything
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Nebulizer, good books, journal and the most comfortable pair of sweatpants or sweatshirt
Describe your fans in three words:
Passionate, supportive, vulnerable
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
