Eric Prydz – Pjanoo
Today we are going to look at a track that I hadn’t heard for ages and then it popped up in a playlist that I was listening to the other day and I felt that I had to write about it. It is a dance track that was weird to hear again because it had been so long since I had last heard it I didn’t realise this was the producer or even remembered this was a track.
Pjanoo was a track that was released by DJ and Producer Eric Prydz on the 8th August 2008. The song was released under the record labels of Pryda, Data and Ultra and was off of the album Eric Prydz Presents Pryda. It is one of those tracks that has been used a lot in popular culture including The Inbetweeners, a trailer for Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, BBC Adverts for Sports Relief “010 and sport events at Madison Square Garden just to name a few.
The song did well in the charts and went to number 1 in the UK Dance singles and in at number 2 in the UK Singles. It also did well in other countries including Belgium where it went to number 8, Czech Republic number 9, Ireland number 7, Netherlands number 4 and Sweden number 6.
