Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
The single “Brakes” was born from being on the road. I was at the end of a three month stay in Europe in January of 2022 and had only been back home in Los Angeles for maybe four months between 2021 – 2022. I was beginning to feel more at home traveling than being back at home in LA.
When I was finally able to meet Kuba in Warsaw after working together digitally for two years, his production brought this nomadic feeling out into my lyrics in way that had been authentic to my lifes state. “I’ve been running with no brakes on” was the first thing out of my mouth at the beginning of the session and it was really easy to follow that feeling.
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
The first single I ever released had to have been something on Bandcamp or Soundcloud back in 2010 or 2011. I will never forget how ecstatic I was leaving the studio that day. I remember driving and listening to my voice for the first time thinking, “Wow, I can really do this thing. I sound dope!”. Release day for me is always a weird feeling, so when it was released, I didn’t generally enjoy it. Still to this day, I hate release day.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
“Changes” on my Hawallwood project.
Your favourite song to play live:

The song that was the longest to write and why?
The song that took me the longest to write is “Fly” from our upcoming project “Thank Myself”. I wrote and rewrote the first verse multiple times because I just couldn’t find the right feel for my voice and the production. Initially, I wrote the verse with a slow flow until I felt a faster midwest type delivery was what the song needed. I also originally wrote the song with a feature in mind from Schafter out of Poland. The feature never quite worked out so after waiting for it to pan out, we finally decided to get Zalia involved. Once she recorded the chorus, it was easy for me to write a second verse. The whole song took around three months to come together. It is our next release slated for October 13th.
Your most emotional track:
“Nostradamus” off of our upcoming project “Thank Myself”.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
