50/50 – Lemar
Ever so often, a musician comes along from a reality television that releases some fantastic singles and today we are going to be looking at a single by Lemar. 50/50 was the third single from the R&B musician and it was part of a double A-side. The other track on the release was a song called Lullaby.
50/50 was released on the 17th November 2003, it was produced by Stargate and released under the record label of Sony Music UK. The single was the third track to be released from his debut album Dedicated which was also released in the same year.
The track sampled Jay-Zs song Can’t Knock The Hustle throughout. The track did really well and went into number 5 in the UK charts and number 1 in the UK R&B chart. I liked this song it is really catchy and had a really great vibe to it. I heard it for the first time this week in years and I really enjoyed it and remembered how fun it was to hear.
