This year I have decided to keep a diary of tracks that I am enjoying so that maybe you can gain new ideas of tracks to listen to or even try out. I am keeping a diary of tracks throughout the month that stand out to me so that I can put these selected tracks into an article for you! Here is this months hitlist

1/7/2022 – Don’t Feel Like Being Sad Today, Yungblud
I heard the new Yungblud single today, at first I wasn’t sure that I enjoyed it but after a few times it really grew on me. It has an electronic style to it but a really catchy chorus which is hard not to enjoy. It is a lot shorter then some of the other tracks but I think that is another reason why it is pretty catchy.
2/2/2022 Lonely, Machine Gun Kelly
I decided to watch the Machine Gun Kelly documentary on Disney + and didn’t realise how much hate that the musician had acquired over the years. It was an interesting watch and you learnt alot along the way. The song Lonley was used at an emotional segment of the documentary and even though it is not one of my favourite tracks of his it worked really well in the film.
6/7/2022 – Glacial, Puppy
I like to listen to random playlists sometimes to come across new music and I discovered this song whilst I was listening to new tracks released on the rock scene. This song to me had a very nineties feel to it and reminded me of bands like the Britpop or Indie scene from that time it has a very nice musical interlude in the middle and is full of some great guitar solos.
8/7/2022 – Self Sabotage, Waterparks
Another new track by Waterparks means that I am always excited to listen. I quite like listening to this band as all their songs feel like they are from different genres and yet again they have done it again with this track as it is really different to Funeral Grey. I think their new album is going to be really interesting.
9/7/2022 – Cafe Con Leche, Pitbull
I ended up liking this song as soon as I heard it as it has a heavy dance beat that is really catchy and automatically makes your feet tap and makes you ant to dance. Another part that is catchy is the instrument of the trumpet solos throughout that give it a great summer vibe. What a fun little track.
18/7/22 – Stay With Me, Calvin Harris feat Justin Timberlake, Halsey & Pharrell
It wouldn’t be summer without him and the return of Calvin Harris means that summer is just around the corner! This song is not my favourite but the more you hear it, the more that it grows on you. It is really interesting to hear the collaborations between Justin Timberlake, Pharrel and Hasley.
22/7/22 – Kill or Be Killed, Muse
It is heavy, it is bold, it is a track that initially you do not think it is Muse but more like a track by a band such as The Architects. This is a really good track and it is one of those songs that the more you hear it, the more that you end up really enjoying it. I am looking forward to the new album, I think it will be a very exciting one.
23/7/22 – Deep Cuts, You Me At Six
Another band that returned to the music scene this week is You Me At Six and it is great to hear them again. This is a great track and it will be exciting to see where the album leads when it is released. This song is a great addition to their back catalogue and I recommend a listen.
24/7/22 – Break Me, Maggie Lindemann & Siiickbrain
I came across this track by accident and I instantly liked it as the song is really catchy and easy to listen to. I enjoyed the way it intertwined sort of electronic sound to a rock background. This style of track is very in style at the moment but it was nice to hear a different spin on this style of music as it sounds very dramatic and has some great instrumental sections that highlight a sort of dubstep vibe.
