It is festival season and that means that in the next month there is so many great comedy festivals to look forward to! Hello! Tell us about yourself?

Hello! My name is Helen Bauer. I am a stand up comedian and super super basic. This is my second hour at the fringe. My debut show at the Edinburgh Festival was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award and I co host a podcast  called trusty Hogs with comedian Catherine Bohart.

How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?

Well I have great tits but one is better so thought I would name the show after her, also little cringe I know but my first show was called ‘Little Miss Baby Angel Face’ and I thought ‘Madam Good Tit’ was the older and wiser version of myself then.

Tell us all about your show!

It’s a big fun show all about me, its very self absorbed which is perfect as I talk a lot about self care in the show. Just for balance I chuck in some self harm too. I love talking about confidence and the idea of a confident woman and that is a big part of the show too.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Looking forward to seeing Jordan Brookes new show and excited to see Catherine Bohart, Patrick Spicer and Sophie Duker they are all amazing and I am obsessed.

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

If you need a moment walk away from the city, running into people when down is not good for the soul. If you run into someone else walking out of the city, nod and wink at them then walk away.

What three items are essential for a successful Fringe?

No ego, no dignity, no pride. Not exactly items that are essebtial but nevertheless important.

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?

Good friends, good wine and watching magic shows on the free fringe.

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

As a comic I spend a lot of my year on trains all over the country and its so nice to have a month where we all just stay in the city and don’t have to be the last train in the middle of the night three times a week!

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Just absolute babes, they are my favourite, well babes and really nervous men!
