Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
BANANA PUDDING CEREAL
The one thing we can rely on the United States for and that is pushing the boat out on unusual cereal flavours. Today we are looking at one that combines both breakfast and dessert together.
The brand Nilla is owned by Nabisco and is known for being a company that makes vanilla flavoured waffle style biscuits. Well, in May of 2018, it was announced that Nilla were releasing a Banana Pudding flavoured cereal. The breakfast cereal mixes Nilla wafers with banana pieces and marshmallows.
The cereal is apparently high in iron and only 130 calories per serving and can be purchased from grocery stores for $10.87.
There are a lot of positive reviews of this cereal online with people praising the fact that there are marshmallows in the breakfast as it heightens the experience. They also state that it is a fantastic tasting experience with a real essence of Banana pudding flavour.
