There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
All I Want – Mis-Teeq
Today we are heading back to the early noughties to look at a single that was part of the UK Garage scene. Today we take a look at a single by the girl group that featured Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash. Welcome to the world of Mis-Teeq.
All I Want was the second single to be released by the band, it was officially released on the 11th June 2001. The track was written by Sabrina, Alan Glass, David Brant, Maryanna Morgan and Alesha and produced by Sunship. The single was also released under the record labels of Telstar and Inferno. The song did well in the charts and went to number two in the UK Top 40, the UK dance and even the UK R&B charts. It ended up selling over 200,000 units and became certified silver as well.
Out of all the Mis-Teeq songs I think this track is one of my least favourites. The one thing that was always fun to do with a track that this band released was sing along to the track and learn all the rap lyrics.
