Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Our latest release is a cover of Frozen 2’s lead song (Into the unknown). We took it as a challenge when it was first released using it to warm up but slowly we recorded it and just thought lets get it out there to showcase Natalie joining the band and just what she has in store for the fans!
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
The first single we ever released was ‘Monsters’ back in 2016, as much as it received mixed reviews I was in amazement for the fact it has been released. It was personally my first ever song put out to the public via a label and hearing it played on the radio just left me speechless, I don’t think anything could ever compare to that feeling of hearing your own music on various channels all over the world.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
My Personal favourite would be Pandoras box from our second album ‘Breaking the silence’, it’s a simple riff and progression but I feel it hits the spot and just gets the head nodding into the grove.
Your favourite song to play live:
I think I say for the whole band when I say ‘Why me’ is definitely one we love to play live. It has such a great energy which naturally jumps from the song as you play it, you can’t help but jump around and have some fun with it!
Your most emotional track:
Mmm… We have had some good ballads which I’d say really have the emotion put into them as well as other songs as they are all written from experience but I think the one that always stood out for me is ‘You did what you did’ its one of our harder songs from the second album but the emotion behind the music and the lyrics always get me.
The best lyric you have ever written:
Well I unfortunately can’t take credit for the entire lyric as we usually all have some form of input but one I did work closely on was ‘Someone Like You’ from the first album ‘Out of the shadows’ as it was based from an experience in my life at the time, just don’t keep the negative people around you is all I can see and look what you can achieve!
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
its electric I tell you, can’t beat the feeling. Regardless of if its a small pub or a larger festival you have to put the same energy into each and every show. You are there to do what you love and you have to love every minuet of it! The reason I wanted to play guitar was because I saw live at Donington and those opening 20 seconds already had me hooked before I even knew who this band was! I wanted to recreate that experience every time I got on stage for someone else.
The hardest track to play live:
you’ll get different answers from different members of the band, I know for Rupert on the bass he has to keep his fingers going for ‘We are one’ but for me I’d say some of the stuff upcoming on the next album is challenging, we always look to push ourselves and make great music and think we have accomplished that with what is coming.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
As we haven’t done a full tour as of yet I’ve not yet had to realise what I’m missing but apart from the obvious which is your gear I’d definitely say earplugs to make sure you can get some sleep!
Describe your fans in three words:
International, supportive & inspirational.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Geeze, hard one to say with so many amazing ones out there but from a standpoint of a song which we think we could have done better then I’d say ‘Writings on the wall’ from Sam smith, we did do a cover of it and made it more us but if we had it from the start I think it would have been a whole different story.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Chugging away in the studio and rehearsal room for album release and upcoming gigs so keep your eyes peeled for release and performance dates!
