Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are going into the world of Sherlock Holmes…
Moriaty (2014)
Anthony Horowitz
Synopsis
Sherlock Holmes is dead.Days after Holmes and his arch-enemy Moriarty fall to their doom at the Reichenbach Falls, Pinkerton agent Frederick Chase arrives from New York. The death of Moriarty has created a poisonous vacuum which has been swiftly filled by a fiendish new criminal mastermind. Ably assisted by Inspector Athelney Jones, a devoted student of Holmes’s methods of investigation and deduction, Chase must hunt down this shadowy figure, a man much feared but seldom seen, a man determined to engulf London in a tide of murder and menace.

Positive Points
This is a book that any Sherlock Holmes fan will really enjoy, it is really sympathetic to the original material and does not ignore the Sherlock world instead it enhances it. This is a book that you would love to be turned into a film or television series but know that it could never work because it is all in the writing. The book takes you on a great adventure.
Negative Points
I genuinely cannot think of one, maybe that once you have read it you know the story and the outcome.
Overall Review
This book exceeded my expectations, out of all of the Anthony Horowitz books I read, I would say that this is one of my favourites as it is so good. I do not want to give anything away but any Sherlock Holmes fan will love this book.
