Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Good Enough

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Good Enough Dodgy

The era of britpop had some great music, however, when you think of that genre the same bands wil always come to mind and the top two will be Oasis and Blur. Today we are going to look at a Britpop track that you will recognise as soon as you hear the chorus but may have actually forgotten that it existed.

Good Enough was a single that was released by the London based band Dodgy. The single was released on the 29th July 1996, it was written by Nigel Clark and produced by Hugh Jones. The song was also released under the record label of A&M. The track was the highest topping song by the band and went into the UK charts at number 4. It also went into the top 40 in Belgium (17), Canada (20), Iceland (16) and Ireland (24) to name a few.

It is one of those tracks that when you hear you sing along to the chorus as it is really easy to learn the lyrics. I personally don’t think that it is one of the best britpop songs but it is a part of its history and the craze.
