Welcome to the feature where every fortnight we will explore different topics that are listed in the book A List A Day by Paperchase. They range from food, music and travel to really random topics so I thought it wold be a fun one to talk about throughout the year!
Today’s List: Favourite Recipes
I love cooking, I find it really relaxing and a really fun thing to do. I love collecting recipes and scrapbook ones that I find and think they are interesting. I also really enjoy buying cook books as I can find it really relaxing sitting there reading different ones. There are always so many recipes out there still to make but there are a few that are my favourites to make.
Jamie Oliver Fish Pie
I tried this recipe once and fell in love with it because it is so tasty. The fish pie recipe is indulgent, tasty and is one of the best I have tried and I think it is because he uses mustard in the sauce. I made this for myself one day when I had a lot of time and it was magnificent as it was not to hard to do and it was fun to make as well.
Hairy Bikers Cottage Pie
I have been making my own version of Cottage Pie for years and I have always enjoyed it, however, one day I wanted to try the Hairy Bikers version to see what it would taste like. The result was indulgent, rich and so tasty. It is one of those recipes that when I have the time I will make it but it is something that I hardly make but when I do I adore it.
Genaro’s Risotto
One sunny afternoon in lockdown I decided to try a Genaro recipe of a Risotto as I thought if anyone can make a fantastic Italian dish it would be him. I think it was a risotto with wine and Italian sausage and it was an amazing recipe and tasted phenomenal .
Brownie Recipe
There is a brownie recipe that I have been using for years that always gets a great review from people that try them – so much so one of my old housemates even tried to tell people that it was hers! The recipe makes the brownies really indulgent and rich and they have a really indulgent taste.
