Welcome to the feature where every fortnight we will explore different topics that are listed in the book A List A Day by Paperchase. They range from food, music and travel to really random topics so I thought it wold be a fun one to talk about throughout the year!
Today’s List: Some Good Gigs
I love going to see bands live as it is such a great experience and it can give you a great idea just how good the group are as a whole.I have been to gigs where I am not even a fan of the band and walked away with a new appreciation. Today we are going to look at some of the bands that have been some of my favourites to see live.
Blink-182
I have seen this group two times and both times were great as it was a band that i wanted to see for so long. The first time was with the original lineup with Tom Delonge and it was a great night as they played all the hits. The second time I saw them was an acoustic set when they had Matt Skiba as part of the line up. It was a great set and being at the front made it even more magical.
Kasabian
I couldn’t stand Kasabian but I was dragged along to see them live and it changed my perception of the band completely. They are truly outstanding live and I absolutely loved the concert and they have become one of my favourite bands.
One Direction
I talk about concerts a lot on this website and sometimes I like to mix it up and talk about something I haven’t spoken about before. When I lived in Newcastle I used to try and go to as many concerts as I possible could even if they were bands I would not normally make an effort to go and see. One of the first gigs that I went to when I was there was One Direction. I was not sure what to expect but it ended up being fantastic, I can see why they have so many fans as they really know how to put on a show.
