Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
We wrote “The Way We Are Told” sometime in February this year. We wanted this track to portray the idea that nobody should ever think they are too old to make a change in their life and age really is just a number. The song was produced by the Grammy-Winning Ruadhri Cushnan in Black Mountain Studios and mastered by John Davis of Metropolis studios London. The song combines modern indie/alternative with 80’s nostalgia, Springsteen meets Foster the People vibes. Our goal for this song is to provide our listeners with positivity and we hope to make them believe that life is too short so aim for the sky!
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
The first single we released was titled “Shine”. After being in a lockdown for months prior to the release we almost wanted this track to give our new listeners a sense of joy and almost give them that lift we all needed as we were all going through tough times. As a band, this release will always be very special to us as the reaction was something we never expected and to have your song being played consistently on the radio for the first time will be something the band will never forget and of course, it began the creation of our amazing fanbase!
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
I would have to say the last track of our debut EP titled “I’m Not scared”.
Your favourite song to play live:
Our favourite song to play live would be a track off our debut EP “Echoes of the Night” titled “Darkest Hour”. This track has that hooky sing-along melody that never gets old when the crowd are singing it back to you.
Your most emotional track:
I would say our most emotional track would be “Turn Your Heart Around”. I think as a band we all have a connection with the lyrics, even if they may represent something different for each of us.
The best lyric you have ever written:
“So never feel you don’t belong, release yourself from mind and soul. Chained no light but we see the end, a finish line where it all begins.”
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
It’s quite a difficult feeling to describe, to be honest. It’s having that control of the adrenaline you built up prior to walking on the stage and then taking a moment before you play that first note to take in your surroundings and the crowd’s energy. It’s a feeling that will never get old, that’s for sure!
The hardest track to play live:
I would say some of the new material we are working on would be most difficult as these would be the tracks we haven’t played very much in a live setting. Other than our new material, I would say Turn Your Heart Around as it has various chord changes throughout.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Hair products, toothpaste and double the amount of boxers and socks we think we will need.
Describe your fans in three words:
Energetic, Loyal and Beautiful
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Dublin City Sky by Fontaines D.C
What we can look forward to from your
band this year:
We have so much material that we just want to get out into the world and for people to hear! So, our goal is to release as much music as we possibly can. We have many gigs lined up including a UK Tour and various festivals over the summer! We want to make each of our shows a special and memorable experience for everyone and just want to continue writing music and playing kick-ass shows!
