Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Fit But You Know It

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Fit But You Know It – The Streets

In the early noughties, there was a track that was so catchy, that when it was around, people would always quote certain lyrics from it. If you haven’t heard this song by The Streets, then it will get stuck in your head if you listen to it today.

Fit But You Know It was released 26th April 2004. It was written and produced by Mike Skinner and was released on the record label Locked On 679. The track was the lead single off The Streets second studio album A Grand Don’t Come For Free, that was released in 2004.

The song was welcomed with lots of positive reviews and even did really well in the charts. It went into the charts at number 4 and spent 15 weeks in the top 75.

I like this track as it was catchy, good fun and a great beat. At the time it was also superbly unique.
