Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
So, it’s been a while since our last single. We have been working on our debut album for some time, and we’re finally ready to release the first single off of the album. It is called «Tonight» . It’s big, fuzzy guitar riffs, haunting vocals and punchy drums. Can’t wait to show you guys!
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
Our first single was called «Gonna Do It». That was what we felt like, we had just started out, had been on our first international tour, in South Korea, and signed with Norways biggest indie label. We had been talking about it for so long, and now we were finally «gonna do it».
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
This varies with the mood we’re in, haha At the moment we’re very fond of a track called «Control You», which we have been working on for a while. It will be on our debut album. It is a bit darker than our other music, but we feel it has a cool vibe.
Your favourite song to play live:
The most fun playing live is the jam-ish improvised parts, the guitar solos and improvised looping riffs. It is spontaneous and so much fun. Also love playing the songs of course, but the spontaneous parts are so fun doing.
Your most emotional track:
One of our most emotional tracks, that the most people usually come up to us and mention after concerts, is a track called «No Regrets». Many people say it’s got a «nerve», and a special melancholic, fierce and emotional vibe to it.
The best lyric you have ever written:
One of the songs we are the most happy with is «Caught Up In A Race». It was one of the songs we wrote while staying at a cabin up in the mountains. It was so quiet and far from all the stress of the city and the «real world», and that song is about getting caught up in that race, that is our lives.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Well, after two years of Covid and very little live playing, being on stage is kind of nerve-racking. But it is also very exciting, and it feels so great to finally be able to play a bit live again. It has been waaay too long!
The hardest track to play live:
It varies a lot, cause it depends on how good monitoring we get on stage. Sadly, too many sound techs are just not that good at their job. When the sound tech is good, and we get what we ask for in the monitors, there is not one specific song that is much harder than the others. When we don’t get what we need in the monitor, and can’t hear ourselves, the songs with the live looping are the hardest. It is hard to follow a loop you cannot hear!
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Ask: The most important thing is a good headset, and an adaptor for the planes entertainment screen. Without those long flights between tours are gonna be very very long.
Carol: Me too, my headset is important!
Describe your fans in three words:
Passionate, engaged, awesome.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Ask: Oh, this is a tricky one. I haven’t really thought of it like that, but there are so many songs I really enjoy listening to, and also playing.
Carol: There are so many songs I really really love, but I have never wished I had written any of them. The songs inspire me, and I just really enjoy listening to them.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Debut album coming up this spring, but more singles will be coming before that!
