Today’s List: Favourite Games
I think it is evident from this website, that I love playing computer games and like any game fan, you have your favourites. So today, we are going to look at a couple of these and reasons why I like them.
Crash Bandicoot Warped
One of the platform games that I love and never get bored of is Crash Bandicoot Warped, I remember the first time I played this game was part of a demo disk for the Playstation and I loved it. I played that demo level so many times that every time I play that level it makes me smile. It is a game that is just so fun and even the enemies you end up liking because they are silly. No matter how old I or the game get, I will always love it.
Tony Hawks 3
This is the game that welcomed me into the world of Tony Hawk games and left me completely and utterly addicted. I am not the only one who feel like this either as it has been voted the highest rated Playstation 2 game of all time. It was just so fun, the challenges, the locations, the skill – it was just amazing. The game did not just change my perception of gaming and the style of games I played but it also introduced me to the world of skateboarding and more importantly lots of new music. I discovered so many American bands through this game and it lead me to become fans of Bad Religion, Rancid and Motion City Soundtrack.
I cannot remember why or when we bought Gex 3D on the Playstation 1 but I do remember that it was a game that stood out from the rest. The thing I love about it is the themes of each level – they are so fun and it is always exciting to see the outfits that Gex wears in each level. It always feels like the levels expand because you have to do a different challenge everytime you enter them and you end up seeing so much more of the game. The challenges are good fun and also very silly which makes it even more enjoyable. I really wish they made more of these games as he was such a great character and he is sorely missed.
LEGO Marvel Avengers
I loved this game, it was so fun, I love the fact with Lego that they take the film and put so much comedy in it, for me the pigs and the sausages that are used as jokes always make me laugh so much. That is the great thing about Lego games they bring silliness even to the serious sections to the game. This game was really easy to become addicted to because it is just a lot of fun and it is also a huge game, I loved it so much that right from the start I decided to make it my mission to make it a game that I completed. I spent ages on this game, having fun with the levels trying to find everything and also trying to complete all the missions in Free play. After lots of months of play, I finally reached 100% on the game and it was such an achievement as it was the first LEGO game I completed! It was great to complete it but also it was a bit sad that I had completed it because I loved that game so much and I felt pretty lost without it but I know I replay it all again in the future.
