Four Minute Warning – Mark Owen
It is common knowledge that members of Take That have had solo music careers and today we are going to look at a single that was released by none other then Mark Owen.
Four Minute Warning was the first single to be released from Mark Owen’s second album In Your Own Time. The single was released the 4th August 2003, it was written by Eliot Kennedy and Mark Owen, it was produced by Henry Priestman and released under the record label of Label Island.
The songs lyrics talk about what would the listener do if a four minute warning like they did in the War would call, what would you do. Each time the chorus is sung a minute is taken off of the time to create a sense o a countdown.
The single did well in the charts and went to number 4 in the UK charts, it also went to the top 40 in the Europe Charts, Ireland (37) and Scotland (2).
It was a song that had a catchy melody to it, the countdown throughout could be annoying but at the same time made a great pop song.
