In Depth Album – Review – IV0X10V5, Josie Pace

When looking for new band or a new album to listen to, you want something that is going to create an impact and stay with you for one reason or another. Today we look at the brand new album by Josie Pace,  IV0X10V5

So firstly, who is Josie Pace?

Meet Josie Pace, a singer songwriter from Detroit who completely redefines the term of ‘rocker chick’ and celebrates female empowerment. The music that the musician is creating is bold, electro rock that is intertwined with powerful and meaningful lyrics. Her style is incredibly high energy and she is known for her exciting live performances.

 Josie has also shared the stage with Combichrist, Powerman 5000, Stabbing Westward, Tim Skold (Marilyn Manson, KMFDM),Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect) and Davey Suicide and has also performed successful headlining shows in New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles.

Let’s Talk about the album

IV0X10V5 is the brand new 11 track electro rock album by Josie Pace. The album includes the hits Underestimated, Storm and Stress, Perfect Replacement, Battleground, Fire, Future, and I’m Begging You. There are still lots of tracks on the album to enjoy as well. It has been released under the record label of Negative Gain Productions and has influences from acts such as Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie.

The track opens up with this really dramatic drum solo that has this really eerie electronic tremor throughout that welcomes you into this really enchanting song. The beat creates this really dramatic feeling throughout that really emphasise the emotional lyrics. There are these really interesting instrumental segments throughout that sort of feel experimental and really highlight the unique style that Josie has and it is really fun to listen to.

Even If It Kills

This song has a really catchy melody right from the start that it is hard to get out of your head once you have listened to it. The electronic tones make you want to see this song performed live because it has a real element to it that you can imagine that in a crowd this will sound amazing. This song really defines the talents of Josie and the style of music that she is releasing. The electronic musical interludes are raw and heavy and they create this magic combination of emotion and a great musical piece.

What’s The Verdict?

If you are looking for a really good, solid album then this is the one that you need to check out, there are so many good tracks that it is hard to stop listening after you have heard it once. Josie is bringing a completely different sound to the music industry that may echo elements of the heavy rock scene in the early noughties but has spun it onto its head to create something new and fresh. It will be really exciting to see Josie perform these tracks live as the power of music in each track in unforgettable.
