Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
KEEBLER FUDGE STRIPES
There is always a new cookie to talk about when you discuss American food and today we are going to take a look at a product that’s is made by the company Keebler.
Today’s snack is of a shortbread variety called Fudge Stripes. There are two versions one of the original size and also the miniature version where you get them in a tinier size. They are a biscuit which is covered with stripes of chocolate. The biscuits do not contain fudge even though they are named after the actual product.
For two cookies, the calories equal approximately 140 calories and you can purchase them in a range of different sizes and weights from pretty much any grocery store. Just like their other competitors. there are different flavours that are released each year for different occasions and seasonal events such as gingerbread, strawberry shortcake and unicorn stripes.
