Welcome to the sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Ratchett & Clank.
Over the years I have fallen out of love with Ratchett and Clank which is a terrible thing to say, I know, as they are great characters. The graphics are phenomenal and the stories are good. I know what is is though, it is their own fault and let me tell you why.
There are some games that they get perfect the first time round and that the sequels do not live up to it and that is EXACTLY what happened for me with Ratchett and Clank.
The first game is outstanding, it has a cracking storyline and really makes you want continue to find out more and complete the game. Throughout out the game it introduces the characters in very entertaining ways. The game does a great job of introducing you to the universe that this game is set in.
I love how easy it was to control the characters and to play and I think I was maybe early teens when I first bought it and even at that ages it was easy to understand and a fun challenge to beat the bosses.
As the games have gone on, I have bought every other version of the game and whilst they take you to new levels and new worlds and adventures, I feel like they don’t engage as much as the first one did. I think the first one is pretty special and will always be a fan.
