Forgotten Songs! – This Week – We Are Golden

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.


We Are Golden – Mika

Today we look at a single that was the first track off of Mika’s second studio album. It is a song that has an uplifting feel to it and it is also very catchy in the process.

We Are Golden was released the 6th September 2009, it was written by Mika and was released under the record label of Casablanca. The second album which this song was off was called The Boy Who Knew Too Much. The single also features the gospel of choir of Andre Crouch.

The single did well in the charts and went into the top 10 in Belgian (7), Eurochart (4), Israel (8), Italy (3), Spain (1) and the US Billboard (5). In the UK the song went to number 4 and was positioned at 70 in the year end charts.

This song was very catchy and it was a track that was always played when it was released.
