In The Games Corner – MEMORY CARD EDITION – Rocking Out In NYC With Plastic Guitars…

Welcome to the sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Guitar Hero.

When it comes to Guitar Hero, I joined the party late. I always wanted to play it but never bought it, I had the version on DS but not the real guitar version for the big consoles. The one time I did get to really experience Guitar Hero in it’s entirety was actually in New York City.

I was working at a Computer Day camp in the summer of 2011 and we had Guitar Hero available for children to play on certain days. I was living on campus and on the weekends I was basically on the campus on my own as everyone else had gone home. Some of these nights on my own I went and played Guitar Hero for hours.

It was great fun, as activity leaders because we would have battles and then we would watch as the children battle it out and we would cheer them on which would be super fun to do.

I found it hard to adjust to at first because I play guitar and it was hard to get used to because the buttons are in a weird position. However, when you get used to it the game is really addictive. I never have had a chance to play Rock Band but I would love the chance to play the drums one day.
