There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Gentleman – Psy

Today we look at a track that was a follow up to the huge single Gangman Style and has started to do the rounds again on social media sites such as Tik Tok and Insta Reels due to it becoming a new dance viral – Gentleman by Psy.

The K-pop single was released the 12th April 2013, it was written by Park Jae-Sang and Yoo Gun-hyung, it was also produced by Yoo Gun-hyung as well. Gentleman was released under the record labels of YG, School Boy and Republic.

The music video has been huge and has been viewed more then 1.4 billion times. The video shows Psy performing ungentlemanly pranks on various people until he meets a woman who does the same sort of pranks on him.

The song did really well around the globe and it went to number 1 in Luxembourg, South Korea and the U.S Hot Dance Electronic songs chart. In the UK it went into the chart at number 10 and became certified silver with over 200,000 copies sold.

I liked this song, I found it really catchy and it is interesting to see that it is doing the rounds again on social media as it is a good song to dance to. However I am not a fan of the music video.
