In The Games Corner – MEMORY CARD EDITION – A Classic Re-Imagined…

Welcome to the sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Pong.

Some of the old classic games are the greatest but sometimes a game comes along and improves on it and makes it more interesting and something new and fresh – todays one is all thanks to Atari and the game Pong!

Ping Pong I think is one of the oldest computer games – where you are a brick and you hit a ball back and forth across the screen. Well on the Playstation 1 Atari took the elements of this game and lifted it into a re-version which has so many fun elements to it.

Pong is a 3D version of the classic game and it allows you to play in all these extreme conditions with really fun challenges along the way. For example – there is one wher you are on ice and to have to try and keep the ball on a wobbly iceberg, an ice hockey ricnk, penguins, a jungle and even a football pitch.

I haven’t kept many of my old PS1 games but this is one of them that I have as I love it so much! Even these days it is a complete challenge which is infuriating at times and also fun at the same time.

It’s quite funny to have an object such as a 3D rectangle to have a personality but in this game it does and it is so fun to see – especially when it dances!
