Why Do You Love Me was written by the band and released under the record label of A&E and Geffen. The single was a sign of a new approach by the band and focussed on an electronic style of song. The single was welcomed with positive reviews with people praising the catchy beat of the track.

The single did well in the charts and went to number 4 in the Scotland charts and in the UK it went in at number 7 and number 8 in the US Alternative Charts.

I found this song really catchy and even now I find it enjoyable to listen to. It is a real reflection of the way the music was heading at this time.
